LOADING / UNLOADING POSSIBILITIES – CONTAINERS – SWITZERLAND

Depending on the location of the container, content, weight, space and requirements on site, different loading and unloading methods are used.

That is why we also offer all possible unloading and loading options.

DELIVERY - WITHOUT UNLOADING (= unloading by customer)

Without an order to unload or load the containers, the containers are usually delivered with a truck chassis (without the possibility of unloading or loading). The recipient or sender of the container then loads or unloads the container directly on the chassis or takes over the loading or unloading from or onto the container chassis by self-organized means such as a suitable forklift or crane.

It should be noted that 10-foot and 20-foot containers have forklift pockets, with 40-foot containers this is not always the case.

Advantage:
There are no additional costs for loading or unloading if the container is loaded or unloaded within the specified time or loaded or unloaded with your own forklift / crane.

Disadvantage:
The forklift/stacker must be designed for the weight of the container.
If a separate crane has to be ordered, this is often associated with high costs.

SCRAPLINER - UNLOADING / RECHARGING

The Scrapliner first places the container on the floor at the back end and then slowly moves away.

Due to the inclination angle of approx. 40 ° to approx. 45 °, the goods must be securely secured in the container to prevent them from slipping.

Feasible Container: 20' Container (empty or loaded)

Advantage: inexpensive loading or unloading option
Disadvantage: larger angle of inclination

Requirement:
- flat, firm surface
- Min. 25m straight route
- Min. 2.5m width

TRUCK WITH TRUCK-CRANE

Feasible Container: 20' & 40' / 40' HC Container > though only EMPTY!

Advantage:
Cheaper than with a separate crane or side loader

Disadvantage: Usually only unloading and loading with an EMPTY container possible (since own truck crane is not sufficient for heavier loads)

Requirement:
- Container must be empty (20' max. 2.3t & 40' max. 4t)
- firm ground and secure stand for truck crane supports
- unloading only possible next to the truck or with a larger crane (more expensive) also behind the truck

unloading with truck crane

SIDE LOADER VEHICLE

Feasible Container: 20' & 40' / 40' HC Container

Advantage:

- cheaper than with a separate crane
- can be loaded with an empty or full / loaded container

Disadvantage: Unloading only possible on the driver's side ( in the direction of travel - left side), Container doors at the rear of the vehicle

Requirement:
- Solid surface and secure stand for container supports & truck
- At ground level (without incline or descent) and fixed
- Unloading only next to the truck - DRIVER'S SIDE possible
- Sufficient maneuvering space for 40-tonne semitrailer
- Access to the container is unhindered
- Length of the straight route = min . 20m - 25m
- Width of the entire route = min. 6 m
- height = min. 6 m

SEPARATE CRANE (organized by us or yourself)

Depending on the requirements (e.g. unloading or loading of containers not directly next to the truck), we can also send a separate crane to the loading point or you can hire a crane company in your area to unload or load the container onto the truck.

Feasible Container: 20' & 40' / 40' HC Container

Advantage:
more flexible > longer distances

Disadvantage: Usually associated with high costs

Requirement:
- firm, load-bearing, level subsurface and safe stand for crane and vehicle
- sufficient maneuvering space for 40-tonne semitrailer & separate crane
- Access to the container is unhindered

HELICOPTER TRANSPORT

In locations that are difficult to access, it may be necessary to use a helicopter. We would also be happy to organize transportation by helicopter for you

Feasible Container: 20' & possibly 40' Container

Advantage:
locations that are difficult to access can be reached

Disadvantage: high costs

Requirement:
- Sufficient maneuvering space for 40-tonne semitrailer
- Access to the container is unhindered
